The first major stop of interest is Taylors Bay. It's a beautifully secluded and swimmable bay accessible from a set of steps that's somewhat overgrown. If you can resist the temptation to take a dip so early on in the piece, keep charging towards Chowder Bay. Opposite this slightly busier bay is the large Clifton Gardens Reserve.

Taylors Bay is located between Chowder Head and Bradley's Head in Sydney Harbour. Today it a very peaceful spot with a beautiful little secluded beach. But in 1942, it was the bay into which the Japanese HA-21 Type A Midget Submarine (also known as M22) sank to the sea bed on the ill-fated night of 31 May/1 June when three enemy submarines came.

Head to Chowder Bay. The walk from Bradleys Head around Taylor's Bay to Chowder Bay through the Sydney Harbour National Park is the second of three walks along the northern foreshores from Taronga Zoo to Balmoral Beach. This is a walk that immerses you completely in the national park and is the least walked of the three Mosman harbourside walks.
