Answer 1 of 5: Hi going to cala dor at the end of April (22nd) just wondering if there are any tourist buses/trains this early in the year and whether the starfish bottomless boat runs this time of year? Thanks :-)

Not sure about hop and off as i got the impression you had to come back on the boat specified at the time of your departure, but as we got the lunchtime boat from Cala Gran we didn't have the choice anyway. But you can certainly get off - we took the trip to Cala Figuera, which involved a 45 min stop for swimming just outside Mondrago national park on the way there and back.

Lovely Boat Trip. We did the two hour trip from Cala Marcal and loved it. It was quite expensive at nearly £80 for 2 adults and 3 kids but worth it. We had a ride down the coast to Cala D'or then back up to Porto Colum where we stopped for half an hour or so for a swim.

We went 2 years ago from Es Forti down to Cala Figuera and back up to Cala Esmeralda before disembarking at Es Forti again. We pulled into Cala Mondrago where loads of folk swam including my OH. You can go down a slide into the sea or jump off the sides I think.

The Cala d'Or marina called Port Petit is one of the most appreciated in Mallorca. In addition to the Cala d'Or beach, we find Cala Gran, Cala Esmeralda, Cala Ferrera, Cala Serena, Cala Galera, Cala Egos, and Caló d'es Pou. The beaches, framed in low sandstone cliffs contrasting with clear turquoise waters are deeper than long.

Not sure there are alternatives. You can hire your own boats from the marina and do your own thing if you wanted to. Didn't go on the starfish trip but seemed good value to me. Going back to Cala D'or next year and will probably do at least 1 trip on the starfish boats. Report inappropriate content. Ste1787.

They typically last 1.5 to 3 hours depending on the trip you take, and involve a stop for swimming off the boat, as well as a visit to one of the many excellent places along the South East coast of.
