Le Frankenbourg est situé au sommet de la montagne du Schlossberg qui sépare le Val de Villé du Val de Lièpvre. La vue sur la plaine est superbe. Ce château fort médiéval date probablement du XIIème siècle. Il était encore habité pendant la guerre de trente ans et a été délaissé peu après. Aujourd'hui nous pouvons encore admirer.
