We found that one of the better ways to enjoy Hickory Nuts is in the form of a pie. Since their taste is akin to the Pecan, our pie recipe is based on a traditional Pecan pie. Instructions. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine corn syrup, eggs, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir in the hickory nuts, ensuring they are evenly distributed. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until the center is set.
