Wave Rock is a multi-coloured granite rock shaped like a wave in the Wheatbelt town of Hyden, Western Australia. The 15m high rock is 110 m long and impressive to see up close. It's one of the most popular tours from Perth. We visited Wave Rock as part of our Perth to Esperance road trip.

Wave Rock is about 15 metres high, 100 metres long and shaped like a breaking ocean wave. Wave Rock is about 2.7 billion years old, making it one of the oldest rocks in the world. Located 5km east of Hyden and is signposted, will take you to the car park at the base of Wave Rock.

Hyden is the closest town to Western Australia's Wave Rock / Katter Kich and is a four-hour drive east of Perth, along the Brookton Highway. This world-famous rock is a granite cliff, standing 15 metres high, 110 metres long and shaped remarkably like a huge wave.

A lovely little family friendly trail located about 292 kilometres south west from the city of Perth, Western Australia. This looped route begins and ends from the trailhead for the Wave Rock Walk, off Wave Rock Road in the town of Hyden. Wave Rock is a popular tourist attraction in the area, a huge natural rock formation shaped like an ocean wave, reaching 15 metres high and 110 metres long.
